    What a beautiful song and so needed to become a part of each of us, our heart’s cry, at “such a time as this,” as we here in North America (yes, we here in Canada are part of NA!) undergo these “economic challenges.” Thank you for sharing this beautiful “prayer song” with the world. May it become our banner for His Glory!

    Hi Velma,

    Thank for your response and comment on the song “Close to Thee,” written by one of my favorite Christian Contemporary writers, Fanny J. Crosby; the music is my own.
    Adding one of my songs to what I have Posted on my Blog is just another way of driving my point home. Considerable thought, prayer, and meditation go into to what I write here.

    The Spirit within (the Holy Spirit) prompts and leads me, and my desire is to do the “Counselor’s” bidding.
    “Songs are a way of praising God; prayer is the way we acknowledge Him.”
